Sun City Center News &Activities Welcome to a way of life you have only dreamed about.  Sun City Center has been developed since 1961 as an all-volunteer community, with age restrictions requiring at least one resident per household to have reached 55 years of age. We have no local government beyond a volunteer "Community Association" to oversee the management of our recreation facilities.  We hope everyone takes part in one or more of our 100+ clubs, some of which you will see on this website, and will volunteer with one of our service organizations that have made Sun City Center the premier retirement community.      You will find many other websites describing Sun City Center and how it is organized.  A list is provided at the "Local Websites" tab at the top of this page.      This website is devoted to portraying why we are all so delighted to be living here -- our safety (just about the safest place to live in Florida, we're told), our health maintenance facilities(where else can you go to your doctor's office and visit the hospital in a golf car?), our full range of recreational amenities from athletic to dance and exercise, and a club for just about any hobby you had as a child (or last week!)!       Please click on any of the categories at the left on this screen, enjoy the photos.  Picture yourself in any or all of them -- we will be updating the pictures just about the time you arrive here and we want you in them!      You can see the latest news of Sun City Center by clicking on "eNEWS" at the top of this screen.      Want more information than you can find here?  Just send a message to John Bowker at:   jbowker@tampabay.rr.com
