South Bay Hospital 4000 Sun City Center Boulevard 112 Bed Hospital within a mile of downtown Please, I beg you, drive around to the back of South Bay Hospital the next time you're out so you are very familiar with where you should go in an emergency. DO NOT try to enter the building where the ambulances pull in; you should go to the door shown above in an emergency. (The front entrance to the hospital is locked after 9 PM and no one there can offer you medical help even during the day.)     South Bay Hospital opened in 1982.  It has a 112 bed capacity with emergency, diagnostic, surgical and critical care facilities. Residents of Sun City Center can visit patients most times of day, and can use golf cars from their homes to reach this hospital.      By the way, this is yet another facility that counts of volunteers to help maintain its high standards.
